I think that they are all the same company or copy from one another including goodfellas. They all say the same thing for the 3-4 clutch pack. And I quote from good fellas...."Raybestoes 9 clutches (replaces the factory 5 clutches in the 3-4 drum). The 9 clutches are heat treated steels that withstand more heat, delivering longer transmission life."

From outlaw"Raybestos 9 clutches (replaces factory 5 clutches in the 3-4 drum)"

They do not realize that these transmissions do not come with 5 clutches in the 3-4. It is 6 not 5.

Sounds similar! "We block off the 1,2,3,4 accumulators to give you a solid, firm, and crisp shift. We discard the springs in the accumulator to eliminate problems associated with springs breaking."
"We discard the springs in the accumulators, because they constantly break and contaminate the transmission with metal filings. One, two, and three/four accumulators are blocked off to give you a nice solid shift every time."

Not a good way to do it in my opinion. I'm sure the other sponsors here will concur. I could go on but I'm not going to waste my time on these non sponsored links. It almost sounds like you work for this company when you just registered yesterday and have only come here to bash one company and praise another. Not to mention the non sponsored links you have provided. IMO eBay trans companies are just what they are cheap. Good luck with that rattle can trans that you just bought. Vince

Hey Vince. Since this thread is gonna get deleted anyway, Ill ask you here. In the picks on another thread I saw you used a 7 count 3-4 (if I counted wright). Hows that holding up? What line pressure is working best for them? I stack alot of 8 counts but its always a pain creating the space you need for pack clearance.

It is an eight clutch pack. Take another look.

I use new delco apply and pressure plates with Borg 4l65e .062 3-4 clutches. The delco plates come in different thickness and if you still are to loose you can throw a standard .078 friction in to tighten the pack up. I have a lathe so adjusting clutch clearance is easily done by adjusting/machining the pressure plate. I have been using a similar pack for a long time and have experimented with all of the frictions on the market. The Borgs work just fine. As far as the pressure 210-230 is just fine. I like to see 210-220psi and this combo has worked very well. If you ever need anything let me know. We do sell this pack as well. PM's or phone calls are fine. Vince

While it is nice that you care enough to slam these guys and post it here. I for one could care less about your experience with a company that sells cheeseball, half assed transmissions. PLease go waste someone elses bandwidth. The way I see it, if someone who is going to go to all the trouble to buy a half assed transmission in the firat place is not the client I want!

Have a good day.

Don't waste your time reading posts from "johnracer" former shampoo boy/personal trainer and owner of GoodFellas Transmissions. John Tsikouris his real name was a former employee of mine at Mad Dog Transmissions. Never rebuilt a transmission in his life and only came into the transmission industry under me at Mad Dog's. Only a year and half ago. The only thing I taught him was how to sell transmissions.

He spends most of his days getting on all these forums and trashing me and my new business. He'll soon be spending his time in court.

I will take this opportunity to announce my new business, Outlaw Transmissions, and let my old Mad Dog customers know that I'm here and I'm not going ANYWHERE !!! My efforts will be focused on running a new buinsiess and providing quality products to my customers and not wasting time with haters who love to use the internet to talk trash and spread rumors. THESE ARE THE FACTS !!!!

ok i detonated a stage 2 built trans and converter from outlaw trans that was a month old , i payed to have it shipped both ways to and back , now i recieved a new trans and converter from them the other day , had a certified trans specialist with 25 years exp , he called me because he noticed dents in the valve body pan , he wanted me to see what was inside , i got there and black carbon with metal chunks and shavings , he said i should be concerned , i called outlaw trans and the manager not the owner said it had to be a shipping accident , upon looking at the crate , no markes or damage was found , now i drove the car home and got 6.2 miles exactly and there was a shutter then a snap and i had to have the car towed , no gears and when its in gear it sounds like rubbing the car wont move something broke biggg time !!!! im crushed , i have a new baby on the way and for me to even be able too keep this car is amazing , i am working 7 days a week 10 hours a day to keep my family having a decent life and the extra money i saved to get this trans , then it breaking and having to pay to ship it both ways and pay to have a shop take it out and install the new one , only to flat out break 6.2 miles down the road , no hard driving just babying it until it got some miles on it ,,, im crushed and literally hurt , , so i documented the valve body before it went int he car with pictures and the trans guy said hed stand behind me , what do i do ? i dont even want another trans from them , i dont have the cash to have this one taken out and a new one reinstalled let alone the cost of a new trans , i just want my money back every penny , am i wrong ? im trying to be descent but i want my money back to have someone else build me a trans but what is the chance of that ? i mean this is flat out wrong ? can i get some input back , im a hard working good guy trying to keep my dream only to have been put in this situation What would you guys at performabuild and the other sponsers do for a customer if this happened to them with your product , i know everyone says it wouldnt but if it did would you be willing to take a hit to keep a customer that proudly flies your banner on his car at the and has friends that own zl1 camaros and hot rod edition camaros and goes to all the shows and cruises with them and talks to everyone including the gm big wigs , i throw what i run proudly and and reccomend to everyone i know or at shows to go with this or that company and i dont want to say these guys are bad guys but what gives , i guess we will see when i get outlaw trans on the phone tomorow and see what happens i just hope they make it right , actually i want them to pay for a new trans or give me my money back and one of the shipping costs so i can save a little more and possibly get one from one of our other sponsers ,, i need feedback from sponsers on this but anyone is welcome thanks
