You will find that most on these boards prefer the NGK TR55, gapped between .050 and .060 (factory gap) for lightly modded, non nitrous applications.

You will also find that half the people say they are easy to change out, and half the people say they are hard to change out (I am in this group). If you still have the stock exhaust manifolds, #8 is very difficult to get at.

I have used NGK's in an LS1 before and they work great. Keep in mind they are NOT designed to last long and even wear faster if you drive like a nut. The platinum GM plugs that the car came w/ are also good. The ones I prefer the most are Bosch platinums. The regualar ol $1.99 ones and none of that double or triple quad prong junk. Please stay away from Splitfire(if they even make those anymore).

The only gap that I would use on a car that has NO supercharger, turbo or nitrous is the stock, factory GM designed gap recomended under your hood.

TR55's at .055 unless you have big power mods. In that case, you'll want to close the gap based on just how much power you're making. Go to a colder plug for nitrous (TR6) or for FI applications.
