With the 700r4 having a 3.06 first gear I would say, think about just doing a heavy duty/upgrade rebuild.

But there is the 2-speed automatic powerglide and the th400 also.

TH400, not without a different crossmember, dipstick, driveshaft. Its not a direct replacement, it takes fabbing.

4L60e, not at all.

Stock 93's are 700R4/4L60. TV cable adjusted, no electrical reference.

You can do the 4L60e, but you'd have to run a newer harness and PCM.
Works out well for guys who want to do 24x.
You could also just run a stand-alone trans computer, but they're not cheap.

But yeah, as far as bolt-up auto solutions ... you're best bet is to stick with the 4L60.
I'll have one for sale soon (only 60k miles), I'm going 4L60e

Converting to a manual isn't exactly painless, but it does get you away from some of the compatibility issues.

93s being ECMs still, not PCMs like 94+, the computer doesn't care what trans is in it. You could run a glide with a 5K stall for all it cares. Just like mentioned any thing with an "E" will need a trans controller or similar.

One thing to point out (that a lot of people seem to miss) is that you really
need a setup that can make enough power to get a car moving with a glide.
Most H/C cars are going to be turds behind that first gear even with a big stall.
