What to expect with a 5.3 and N20?
Want to keep working on my car but tuition keeps rising...forcing me to cut back on a few things. have a 5.0 with a complete nitrous setup and the lil guy took 100 shots just fine but the clutch didn't.
What kind of numbers could i expect with a cam only 5.3, ls1 intake, and a 6 speed? i would spray a 100 at least, going to 150. This car is pretty much just a weekend cruiser.
Thanks

a 5.3 stock makes around 345 at the flywheel with no accesories being driven, add a decent cam and you should be able to pick up a good 40-50 horsepower if matched correctly, theres 400 right there. the ls1 intake will gain you roughly 10-12, plus the 150 shot, id say its a good ballpark.

If it helps my 4.8 in my 07 silverado ran a 12.64 with a cam and headers on a 150 shot. The race weight was over 5000 lbs. So I'd say the 5.3 would push over 500 at the flywheel on nitrous.

my 5.3 put down 330/390 on a dry 50 shot...this was before i had longtubes and a cam...ill be shooting for 500 to the wheels with a wet 150 shot...this is through 3.90s and 3600 converter
