Default 231/235 cam in L76/L98??

Hi guys.

Looking to put a cam in my L76 Holden Calais (Australian)
Its a 6.0L motor, basically the same as a L98.

Just wondering if anyone here has done something similar, and any information on how it went... problems power etc etc.

Ive been told that it will fit without flycut pistons (this better be true)

ATM plans are to do "DOD Delete" and Cam install with patriot dual springs.
Anything else i should consider??

Current supporting mods are 1 3/4 headers and a dual 3inch exhaust. Plus a CAI-OTR. And 3.73 diff gears.

The gearbox (4l65e) is currently broken/slipping/etc.. but will be being built. Did have a 4500 stally. But might change the stall speed depending on powerband of cam.
Also considering a 4l80e... but this might be overkill.

In the future i might get the heads done.. but in terms of power im pretty sure i wont be going any futher.

Cam specs as follows >>

*also please, if you have anything similar to this cam.. dont be afraid to add a video of it. Love cammed goodness throbbing!!

lobe centres to tight,
you will have to flycut pistons as it will be too tight
cheers dave

Don't have input for you on the cam really.... But if you're going to be hammering that tranny just drop the $'s and put a 4L80E in. It'll be worth it, especially if you ever have an itching to put more power to it. People on this forum are apparently doing it like madmen anyways
