I got my Frost Tune after swapping to an LS6 Intake. A re-tune can benefit any mod along the way.

I'm not 100%, but I believe Frost will re-tune your PCM for nothing if you add any performance modifications within a year of when you purchased your original tune. It'd be worth visiting his website or giving him a call to find out for sure. It may only cost you shipping and you could maximize your new intakes gains.

from Frost's site...

"Mail order Tuning includes free updates for 90 days from the time of original purchase with the customer covering shipping and handling both ways."

The LS6 is a good mod but I dont think its anything you will actually feel. Maybe 6-10 rwh.

I have never seen that much with just bolt ons. I know companies advertise 15 hp gains but with stock internals I wouldnt bet on it.

I wouldnt worry about a re-tune too much, ls6 intake doesnt really add that much power on a stock car, not to say u wouldnt benefit from a re-tune but not sure it's worth the money. I ran my old car un-tuned and ran a 12.6 with full exhaust, lid, and ls6 intake. And yes the ls6 will help more later as u do heads/cam.

thanks for the reply and 12.6 is damn good time! Best i have done is 13.5 with full exhaust and tune (bad o2 sensors) I think the intake will be the next mod step for me. Sort of on a limited budget this year
