Next Time On....Mods, Manflow Cat. Back Exhaust, Whats left of the Hogan Down Pipe With Hi-Flow Cat., CAI Intake, H.S. 1.8 Roller Rockers, Comp. Cams .918 Springs, Intense 5/16 PushRods, Ported Ls4 Intake Manifold, Doug Thorley Headers. Numbers......229TQ/232HP-Min. Power, 305TQ/278HP-Max Power, 272TQ/264HP-Avg. Power

All dyno. readings are power at the wheels of course (for those few who don't know). Same dyno was used both times and it was a mustang dynamometer.

Just something for you guys to chew so, I think It make decent power for the amount spent, probaley should of just swapped the intake manifold for a ls6 but maybe sometime down the road. All and all I'm happy to be above the 300 Torque line FINALLY

Umm not to burst your bubble, but the chart says 278 HP and 305 ft-lb of torque, I think you reversed some numbers...

Bout right that that was your 666th post. Sorry, DJ...

EDIT: Rule of thumb, with these cars, the torque will be higher than the hp. Right?

you know the more I think about it the more I'm starting to wonder in my car was tuned properly... While i don't doubt the car was tuned as I have a dyno sheet, I wonder if vector really knew what they were doing with the ls4. The reason I say this is the more I drive it the more it bothers me that the car didn't pick up more power between the two runs. Also I really can't say I can report similar experiences that others have had (noticeing the increase in power) when installing the valve train and headers. To be honest the car really doesn't fell that much stronger then the day i bought it. Do you guys think there may be something to my theory or I'm I just crazy?

Default new numbers

thats a hard question to answer, because there are so many variables to address. You could try comparing your dyno chart to other ones that have been posted up.
Here is one from VHP http://www.vincihiperformance.com/impalassMAINPAGE.html

ya now based on the charts on there you picked up a lot more power then me on considerable less mods. See it really bothers me now, I don't know enough about tuneing to know what to look for/compare and I don't fell like I have enough evidence to raise hell about it. I dunno it really leaves me with the felling like there is a hell of a lot more power in it thats not being produced for some reason.

Here's what my dyno curve looks like (second gear pull on a public highway, let off at 100 mph, smoothing eliminated a few hundred RPM at the top end of the plot.):

300 Club BABY!!-gxp-road-dyno-june-27.jpg

Just FYI, the road dyno calculation comes in somewhere between a Dynojet and a Mustang dyno. This particular dyno plot comes from a datalog using the vehicle itself as the load, not a dyno roller, so I think this provides a useful "real world" view or the engine's power. Note on this day the ambient temp was 84*F, atmospheric pressure was 13.34 lbs (2200 ft altitude) and humidity was 55%, so this plot uses a 1.132 STD correction factor.

Mods are as in my signature, still haven't put the LS6 intake on the vehicle, but this is my own tune.

I think your tune left a little bit on the table.

After seeing a couple of other sheets i agree with that statement, hmm i see if i can't complain my way into a re tune for free but i doubt it. Damit I really don't want to pay out the *** for another tune by another company
