Default Those Running C5 Z06 Wheels on a 4th Gen

So, I'm interested in picking up a set of C5Z wheels to throw on my SS for track duty, but I'm a bit confused about their fitment on our cars. Proper wheel fitment on a 4th gen Camaro is no foreign subject to me as I've worked for Fikse Wheels for quite some time. However, for a 9.5" front, I would typically use a +38mm offset, and the C5Z front wheel is +54mm... That's about 5/8" difference inboard! Hence, I would think they'd rub. Same with the rear 10.5"s - A standard Fikse 10.5" fitment is +44mm offset (sometimes as far outboard as +38mm without issues) and the C5Z rear is +58mm. That's a little over a 1/2" inboard from the +44mm.

My initial assumption was that people just run spacers, which, if you ask me, is not an ideal arrangement, and not something I'm likely to do. However, I've seen people claim that they bolted the wheels right on with no spacers and ran them without issues. I've taken measurements of my car and I just don't see how they can work without rubbing, particularly the fronts - It just seems too close.

Anyone have any first hand experience they'd like to share on this subject?

If yours are heavy, they're reproductions. I'm referring to the real 2001 Alcoas or 02-04 Speedlines. Weights for these wheels are as follows:
19.6 lbs, front; 21.4 lbs, rear - 01 Z06 Alcoas
19.2 lbs, front; 21 lbs, rear - 02-04 Z06 Speedlines

The reproductions are a good 9-10lbs heavier, per wheel.

I'll check the sticky, thanks!

FWIW, I'm running 18x9.5 Chrome C5 Z06 reproductions and they weigh 52 Lbs. w/275/35/18 tires that weigh 27 Lbs. (according to manufacturer), so my chrome reproductions weigh in at 25 Lbs. each...that's only about 4 Lbs. heaver than OEM C5 Z06's...

That's not terrible for a repro, especially in chrome... Where did you get them from?

Mine is 53 mm offset w/ both 9.5/10.5" width wheels. IIRC, I got mine from LMP. I don't use any spacers or did any BFH mod. No rubbing.

Can you do me a favor and post a couple of decent sized shots of your wheel fitment? It would be much appreciated.

*EDIT* Scratch that - I just found your gallery on Fquick.

What size tires are you running front and rear?

Danny, the fronts fit like OEM Camaro SS wheels which have a 56 mm offset . .

The rear 10.5 s do rub on the inner wheel well. A little BFH or a spacer make them work.

I use to run them before my Fikses. . .

Really? I spoke with a rep at your company yesterday and was told all of your repro 17"s weighed 28lbs and 18" weighed 30lbs. If they only weigh what you say they weigh, I may consider a set for what I'm needing.

You have a PM.

Where did you buy your wheels from? OE Wheels only carries a 17" front and, while I can deal with that, I'd prefer to run 18"s all around.
