Default I think I just broke the rear end

I am new to the site and my car is an 02 z28 m6 64,xxx miles with a couple things done. I think i just blew out the rear end. I was taking a right in first gave her hell, but not too much, and shifted second and there was a clunking sound as well as a vibration and small loss of power. I let off and she seemed a bit normal until I heard some clunking. I was a block from home and it wasnt making much noise in a straight line but slow turns there was a ractheting/clunking sound. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

If you guys are familiar with TPIS I am bringing the cat there the first week in may for a zl12cam, if familiar do you think they are good for rear end work, I would assume so being there ls and lt specialists and they make some gears for our cars.

I don't want to drive it and possibly wreck more, or need a tow

If it's your rear end, take the opportunity to upgrade!
