Which 6.0L block to use for my build?
Can any one point me in the right direction on which engine block to use for my ls2 stroker motor build? Which one is a better choice Aluminum or Iron? Thanks in advance.

What are some of the details of the build? Any power-adder? What kind of vehicle is it going into? Street use, road race, drag race, etc?

Its going into my 98 trans am ws6. No power adder all motor and its going to be a street/strip car until i fully transform it into full drag race in the near future.I also was lookin into an ls3 build but i am not to familiar with LS motors. What i really want in there is a 427 stroker motor.

Defining goals is very important here.
Also be aware that if you want a race car, you going to need to gut the car for weight and add safety stuff like a 6 to 10 pt cage and those willing to go that far will seperate the pretenders from the contenders.
Many people have taken the Aluminum LS2 blocks pretty far, well into the 9's and 8's so depending on your race weight goals and where you want to put weight. Having it as light as possible should be a real goal for your "Race Car".

Thats part of my build also. 6pt cage, transmission upgrades, suspension. I be able to run 10's in the quarter mile. But for right now i need a reliable engine combination that i can drive on the street using pump gas but will not take alot to transform it a race car.
