Default power window switch for cut out?

i know people have used the convertible switches for electric cutouts. Is it possible to use a power window switch?

same principal...no reason it wouldnt. would be cool if you used one with express down feature. one touch wide open or anywhere in between. of course, im not sure if express down is in the switch or something else.

Express down is NOT in the switch or the actual electric motor as an FYI. It is part of the electronics in-between the switch and the motor. Like for instance, a BCM.

We are going to look at using the volume control switch for the cutout.

a simple potentiometer or rheostat whatever you want to call it would work great. probably be easier than using the volume control ***.

I'm talking about the switch on the steering wheel.

This is funny, just the other day while driving I was thinking "wouldn't it be sweet to use the volume switch on the steering wheel to control the cutout?" Seeing as how my steering will buttons aren't functional anyways (aftermarket head unit) I'd love to utilize them in other ways. LMK if you get that figured out!!

that would actually be pretty sweet. i never really liked the switches on the sides of the seats or anything. My cutout came in and the switch is basically like the power window/convertible top switch, i put it right next to my fog light switch.
