Default HeadLight problems..Help!

For some reason when i bought my car it came with automatic light on...everytime i turn the engine on the lights turn on also...anyone knows how to deal with this...i dont want for my lights to turn on everytime i turn my engine...what can i do?...i just want the turnsignals truned on everytime i turn my engine on just like all of F-bodys!!anyone your help is appreciated

if you pull the parking brake, the lights dont come on until you let it off...

naw its not that my car is a A4...and it just does that everytime i turn it on the lights turn on by them self....is there anything i can move from the fuse box or something!!

It has to do with a module behind your radio head unit. Search here and on google for !drl... my headlights dont come on till I trun the manual headlight switch, by how I wired the module. The instuctions are way too long to post, so search around. Laters.

I had the same prob. last year. It turned out to be my right headlight actuator motor.

Now if you had bought a Firebird, Formula, or T/A - you wouldn't have this problem!

I stuck a resistor in the headlight sensor. Worked like a charm.

damn...I could only imagine if my TAs lights were on and off as much as a maros... the motors would run out soooo fast

If you lived in Canada and owned a T/A you would find out, I understand the Canadian firbird has the auto headlights intact. I suspect everyone that can in Canada does the mod to disable it.

hey man, its easy, either take the radio out, look at the middle air vent in the dash, see that little bulb that sticks up, there is a sensor there that detects light, find the wires, cut them, put them together, then use elect tape, u can also pull the dash up right there, but i dunno how to do that way.....www.installuniversity.com
