Default Competition Clutch

Who all is daily driving one of these? I am looking at the stage 2. I ordered from a vendor today who couldnt take my debit card so I had to cancel the order. Ive decided to check into these one last time before ordering again.

I daily drive my car. I want a clutch that will last over 20,000 miles. My current plans for the car are full bolt ons and maybe a 100 shot.
I can get it for under 300 shipped. Autozone has risen their prices to over $220.00 so Im not going with a stock disk. I believe the Stage 2 competition clutch is for me but I want some reviews from you guys who have been running them.

I have the CC stage 2 at nearly 400RWHP and I am very pleased with it. It locked up with sticky tires at the track with ease and works smoothly with no issue. It has no chatter or the annoying on/off switch feel of more agressive clutches. Price cant be beat and I would reccomend it all day long. BTW their shop is about 40 miles from Athens in Conyers.

I had there stage 4 in my 2000 ws6 and could have easily daily driven it. It was a great clutch it had about 30000 miles on mine when I sold it and still strong as ever.

Did you resurface / replace your flywheel? My 2.5 NEVER chattered, drove smooth as silk, and gripped like a gorilla.

I have that same 2.5 from gregrob's car in my SS right now. 411 RWHP and it doesnt slip, chatter or anything at all and I went 12.9 @ 110 at Bandimere with it! It is out of the car and still has quite a bit of life left in it.

When I tried ordering from the vendor, (not a sponsor) they called me and said that Competition clutch changed the materials in the stage two because they werent holding up. They said that they replaced the stage 2 with the stage 3. Is that true? I havent heard anything about it. I think they may have been trying to give me the run around.

freshly rebuilt ram aluminum flywheel and brand new CC stuff. i don't attribute the chatter to the clutch at all because the car had a 2k rpm high idle that i had to track while it was being broken in, so i'll be the first to say it was NOT broken in the way it should. that being said, the chatter only occurs under where the clutch was broken in (rpm-wise), and now that the idle is fixed the chatter is slowly going away. i don't blame the clutch at all as i was VERY impressed with it and would buy another again in a heartbeat

gregrob, your posts were what turned me onto CC in the first place and i couldn't be happier with the purchase, customer service wise and quality wise. i am a firm believer that the chatter mine has is because of my own mistake in breaking it in with too much slip due to the high idle

I got my Stage 2 Competition Clutch in Yesterday. Im getting a little chatter in reverse but none in the foward gears. I had my stock flywheel resurfaced.

I still have to get it broke in before I can give it hell but I have to say that the thing grabs hard. Its not quite an on/off switch but Im sorta having to relearn to drive the car (Ive never driven a car with an aftermarket clutch). The old clutch would slip a lot easier and not try to bog the engine but this clutch grabs hard all at once. I actually stalled the car today for the first time since I owned it.
