Installed built LS3 into 2001 Fbody now Throttle Cable is way loose ** HELP**
I installed a built LS3 into my 2001 Camaro SS and got it to fire right up but the issue I am having is that the throttle cable is way loose.
I bought the nice fancy billet throttle bracket from SDPC and the cable was way loose. I called up SDPC and they said they had issues with the billet piece on LS3 intakes So they sent me the cheaper one which should have fixed my issue.
I am using a brand new Nick Williams 92mm TB and LS3 intake as well.
My car does not have traction control so I can't adjust the length of the cable. (as far as I know)
The throttle cable never got snaged on anything when I pulled the motor out, just pushed it out of the way.
Check out my pics. Why do I have so much slack in this? I can't drive my car till I get this fixed.
HELP!!!

Somewhere between the throttle body and the firewall, there should be a black rectangular "box" in the cable. You pull out a clip, slide it to adjust, and re-insert the clip.

I am still using the black SDPC bracket. I eventually switched out the BlueMaxx 90 I had re-used from my last LS1 for a NW92 and that seemed to help. I later bought a slightly used SDPC billet bracket like what you have and that put my pedal almost on the floor at rest. I put the black bracket back on because it felt more natural at that point.
I thought about cutting mine to length but wasn't sure what the ideal end would be which would never come off. I've read that Holley includes a bracket with their throttle bodies that can be purchased separately if you call them. I haven't tried that avenue. You could try the SLP 12509. If that SDPC billet piece was longer and the holes were slotted for tension adjustability that'd be nice. Pulling it towards the firewall would tighten up the slack but may interfere further with the noise cover (if you're using it).
