Default RPM Transmissions once again offering parts and labor rebuilds for T56 transmissions

We have always offered parts and labor style rebuilds but we haven't had a set pricing structure. So after great intrest from our customers we have decided to start advertising our parts and labor style builds again. Our company began with our owner doing parts and labor style builds more than 10 years ago, but after so many of our customers wanted to keep their cars up and running till their new transmission arrived we began our core exchange program. In the past 6 months I have seen a resurgence of customers requesting parts and labor builds. So I have decided to adversite pricing for them.

This pricing only applies to F-body, Viper and 03/04 Cobra T56 rebuilds. GTO, CTSV and Corvette add $100 to the price of each build for the added cost of the triple cone blocking ring kit. We don't build any of our T56 transmissions with stock keys in the 3/4 synchro assembly. The price of these items isn't high enough to make it worth while to risk them failing and you having to remove your transmission again.

All of our rebuilds get new seals, shift rail guide pen bolts and new shifter shaft bushings to insure your transmission shifts the best it possibly can.

Our stock rebuild with keys is $895.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 3/4 synchro assembly
New plastic fork pads
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

Our Level 4 Parts and Labor build is $970.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts +$350.00
*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

Our Level 5 Parts and Labor build is $1,545.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Bronze fork pads
Bronze shifter bushing
RPM Modified 1/2 fork
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

Our Level 6 Parts and Labor build is $1,895.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Bronze fork pads
Bronze shifter bushing
RPM Modified 1/2 fork
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts
Cryogenic tempering of all internal parts
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

We have great rates with many reputable freight shipping companies. No need for you to stuff your valuable transmission into a plastic tote and have it damaged or lost by standard ground shippers. We can ship T56 transmissions to most parts of the lower 48 states for $200.00 or less. Give us a call and we can schedule a pickup any time that is convenient for you.

If you have any questions please fee free to shoot me a PM or call me here at the shop. 1-800-406-1109

These prices do not include hard parts such as gears, synchro assemblies, bearings, shifter shafts, main shafts or other internal hard parts not listed in the package prices.

So for about $1,000 + $400 shipping (to you and back to me), I can get your $2595 level 5 transmission for my corvette for $1,400 shipped using my core?

To achive a full Level 5 you would need the Level 5 build with the Micro polish which would be $1,245.00 plus shipping both ways. That price also doesn't include any hard parts that are damaged inside the transmission. So if your transmission is perfect inside then it will be $1,245.00 plus shipping. If it needs any parts inside it will just be the price of parts.

Hope that answers your questions.

Thanks!

Jeremy,

What would the benefit of the micro polish? Mods are in my sig. The car will most likely never see the drag strip and is just a summer toy. only reason I would consider this trans is mine has about 104,xxx on it and will sometimes grind in 2nd and 3rd under hard acceleration. i dont need something thats made for a 9 second pass, 6000 rpm launch or 1000hp.

Also, do you have this type of deal with your stage 2 and 3 differentials? Like am I able to send you my undamaged core for a stage 2 or 3 rebuild with 3:73s?

Sorry I missed your question.

The biggest benefit to the micro polishing is how smooth and fast it makes it able to shift. The micro polishing makes it so smooth that you can barely pick up the parts with oily hands. It also reduces heat and friction. No matter how much horse power or if you race the car or not, the micro polishing is a worthwhile upgrade to any level transmission.

Yes we offer parts and labor style builds for differentials as well. The differentials are $350.00 labor, differential seals are $179.99, 3.42,3.73,3.90 or 4.10 micro polished gears are $399.99, Driveshaft Shop 300m chromoly axles are $249.00 and $299.00, Carbon clutches are $279.00. Just shoot me a PM or give me a call if you have any more questions.

Thanks very much.

What about these type of builds for 60e's? Mine is perfectly fine, but I would like to get it upgraded and add a converter. Seems like this would be a great option.

All stock T56 gearsets are power limited to around 700-750rwhp befor you start to see failure happen regularly. The 30 spline mainshaft ups the ability for the transmission to handle more shock load from slick tires and high RPM launches.

turn around right now is around 2 weeks.

We don't offer this type of build for automatics because unlike a manual transmission, everything needs some kindof repair or modification inside an automatic. So it isn't cost effective to do a parts and labor build on an auto like it is on a manual where only certain parts of the transmission are damaged or worn out. I would be happy to help you spec out an auto to suit your needs tho. Just let me know.

I just got my Level IV T56 back from RPM - and it's very nice. Shifts nice and smooth - and is so much quieter than my stock trans.

Thanks again Jeremy - you guys rock!.

No need to worry. These prices are set. This isn't a sale or limited time only deal. Just let me know whenever you get home and we will get you fixed up.
