Default LS3 heads or TFS 235s (416 build)??

I don't post a whole lot on this site but I lurk all the time, and finally decided to get a name going cause I want to make sure i do this build right.

I am going to build a 416 with a rotation assembly from TSP with -3cc valve reliefs. I am switching over from ls1 setup to new ls3 stuff and I had TFS 215s and a fast 92 combo as well. I still have my rockers and my intake but I sold my heads and I don't know which direction to go.

I want the car to make over 525rwhp n/a through an auto and a dana 60. I don't care what kind of cam or intake combo i end up going with I just want the car to ET like a ****!

So what does everyone think? Get the TFS 235s or sell my rockers and intake and do a ls3/l92 setup?

FAST 102 and some cnc'd Ls3 heads are my vote. Me and chris1313 just finished porting my FAST 102 to match the intake ports on the heads.

T/F 235's and keep the FAST 92 over "STOCK" LS3/L92 heads.
If you're referring to the MAST LS3/L92 heads then I would go that route...

Yea, I just don't know what to do. Whatever makes the most power really! What does everyone think about EPS and their cams? Or should I do something different for a cam?

An ls7 head needs a 4.125 bore, unless there is a small bore ls7 out there I don't know about like the Mast small bore LS3's.

Don't the TFS heads need an aftermarket rocker or something like that?

I went with LPE Ls3 heads and they set it up to your specs for free like milling and installing the springs for you. Then ship it for free too lol

I also went with an LsR cam that's in my sig.

I know they have done some track testing and are now taking orders. I am not sure on the rest of your questions. I was just letting the poster know it might be worth looking into.

The TSP small bore LS3/7 heads are ~$2450 a pair. Call them to order.

+1 with 94 Guy. Dont forget the SD LS3 heads. Hot rod did a test and they actually outperformed just about every other head except the Mast black label for a 4.125" bore. I myself am bugging TSP about the small bore LS7s. If they arent vaporware...it seems like they would be worth the wait.

Quick Reply: LS3 heads or TFS 235s (416 build)??
