Default lsmeng.com for Custom Camshafts!!!!!!

These guys ******* rock!

So, i've been building this BIG LT1 motor that needs a special camshaft. I email COMP Cams and tell them a few specific things that I need. These are what I NEED:

1. .900" base circle
2. LT1 stepped nose for retainer plate
3. 4/7 firing order swap
4. duration 250's/260's 6-whatever lift.

Comp tells me that they can't do a 4/7 swap on a .900" base, lol. SO I go onto their own website and find a 4/7 swap camshaft on a .900" for an sbc. I tell them to take that EXACT cam for an sbc, and cut the step for the LT1 retainer plate. They tell me that they can't do it, lol. They must not have a lathe at Comp. NEXT!

So I go onto yellowbullet.com and ask away in the camshaft section where the Crower rep is the moderator. I get a few runarounds, mainly because people really aren't aware of the differences between an sbc and an LT1. The Crower rep just tells me to run an sbc cam with the thrust button. I can't do that and keep the opti. I get a pm from a guy for another popular company saying he can do it but it will take 5-6 weeks. 2 other guys posting mention lsmeng.com, and then I saw a pic of gregrob's cam from then. So I check them out.

I shoot them an email with the exact specs I want. I send them a follow-up email the next day and Steve from lsm replies, "no problem". They call me the next morning to get my billing information and exactly 20 days later it's here! Pretty fast turnaround for something that everyone else had such a problem with, lol.

$550 + shipping. Came to $572.56 total. Yep it's pricey, but i'm not going to worry over $100-$150 on a part like that. The quick turnaround for such an uncommon piece was refreshing. If you check out the lsmeng website you can see other things that they do. They specialize in block lightening, building billet blocks, and custom camshafts. They can take an honest 30lbs out of your block, the pics are pretty sweet.
