Default left turn signal is broken

My left turn signal stopped "signaling". When I push the indicator stalk down the arrow on the dash board and exterior lights stay on but they do not cycle on and off with the click. How do I fix this?

In my experience this is a wiring problem. Could be caused by the common problem of them cracking then shorting out. If you've replaced the sockets before check the wiring. If not it may be time to if they look coroded at all.

The front ones where your bulb goes into. When you take the bulb out do they look good or discolored ? Check the wires leading from the socket up into the vehicle wiring for any cracks or fraying. Is this problem Constant or no?

There is no wiring problem here. If the lights are on solid, then that proves the wiring is fine!

The only thing that can cause this is a bad flasher or a burned out bulb.

Their is only two bulbs in the circuit right? one for the front for and one the rear, if so both bulbs are illuminated when i push the indicator stalk down but do not flash

+1 for replacing the flasher... Super easy to fix. Take off the panel under the steering wheel, unclip the flasher, replace with new flasher, re-clip and button up the panel... boom! Fixed.

Let us know.

There are three bulbs in two locations on the Firebird. (Can't remember - the Camaro may have four.)

Run your hazards. If they flash but your turn signals don't - its the turn signal flasher. Easy fix.

Is it a 100% problem or does your left turn signal work sometimes?

Try turning on your left turn signal and turning the **** of your Main Lamp Control all the way to the right to turn on your Head Lamps and back to the off position, does it work then?

I had the same problem on my Camaro and did that as a temporary fix, until one day I changed the STOP/HAZARD fuse and it magically started working
