Default Timing gear set: What do I have?

I have a double roller timing gear set. The large gear has the text "3550-AX" printed on it. The crank gear has multiple key slots in it and is clearly adjustable for advancing or retarding the timing. On the outside it has printed "R8 R6 R4 R2 0 A2 A4 A6 A8". I am pretty sure it is a Cloyes, but I am not sure which model.
Thanks in advance.

Where did you get it and what did they tell you it was for? Is it new? I did a search on Summit for a '3550' and didnt find any timing sets.

I couldn't find anything there either. Back when I was building my engine I purchased an LT-1 timing cover that came with a double roller set. The seller told me it only had 1-2k on it; and it does look brand new. But I had already selected my timing set so I put this aside. Now I am just cleaning house of all my extra parts and came across it.

Not sure what model that is. Good thing is sounds like you don't need it, I have the cloyes double roller for mine it was only like $80 from summit, solid looking set too.

Are you sure about that? Never saw one for anywhere near that price.

Yes, he is correct. Just run a query on Cloyes/Chevrolet/5.7L/Gen I/double roller/8 degrees on crank. You'll find a set for $75 plus shipping.

Mine actually looks like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HRS-94300/ with a black crank sprocket with numbers on the inside and the outside of the sprocket.

it's not listed for the lt1 engine. It requires that you run an ewp since it doesn't have the drive for the stock water pump. On 96-97 models you also have to remove the cps sensor to use it. The cloyes 9-3106 I think was the p/n

When I run the query I get a 9-3500-TX9 for $74.95. Looks like a special order item. Not sure of the differences, to be honest. I used a 94-95 cover, which has no CPS, but I believe you can physically leave it in there, it just won't work. (It's been a while.) I also disabled the CPS in the tune, of course.
Thanks for the assist Gregg, it got me going down the path to find out exactly what I do have, which appears to be a Howards Cams timing gear set.
