Those with optima redtop battery, I need help hold it down

Default Those with optima redtop battery, I need help hold it down

Im having problem with redtop optima battery fiting, it still kinda loosing when Im bolt it down, if im using the tray that came with it and put it on the bottem of the battery, it hold the battery down good, but the hood wont close. Any one have any ideal what I need to tight that battery down, so it not moving around. thanks

I put my red top in the stock battery holder then took a flat piece of aluminum and added padding to one side and bent the aluminum to go over the top of the battery and bolt to the hold-down bolt and a bolt by the headlights. Hope that helps some. Stopped my battery from bouncing around. Sorry no pics out of town right now.

mine fit just like it was suppose to I dont understand why you guys are having problems

this is what i did to mine years ago and still rocking it w/ a different battery.

aluminum strip from Lowes, drill two holes and a two pieces of weather strip-foam. Bend the aluminum to conform the shape of the battery and the mounting area.



I wanted to make it pretty so I painted it gloss black.

I mean im not having fitting issue, im having problem with it loosing left and right.

is the coolant tank cracked at the battery hold down? its a common problem......happened to me

Bene did the exact same thing as me. I left mine brushed aluminum look though and polished it to a nice shine for some extra blingage.
