Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has done a LS1 or 2 swap in our cars because If this one ever blows I would consider it cause I can get those motors cheaper than the LS4 any help or links would be appreciated.... peace

no one has done it yet
it would be alot of work.. it would end up being alot more then just buying another ls4
i dont think its possible without a ton of custom parts and fabrication

If you have the time and money, anything is possible. BUT, I wouldn't go through the trouble.

I think the LS4 has a whole other bellhousing bolt pattern, but I'm sure an adapter could be made if they arent't already.

There is a member on another forum who did that.

Why? Just build the trans and the ls4...it'd be cheaper and make more power.

Some fiero swap site had an adapter, but I think they might have stopped making them.

Totally agree...You can pick up <40,000 mile LS4s all day for well under a grand.

I have friends who have both engines I could get the ls1 for 400 stock and the ls2 for 6 both with less than 30k on them. They have more money than they know what to do with I was just wondering but I appreciate all feedback I probably wont attempt it just waiting on my programmer now and go from there.
