Question anyone have feedback on WHISPER LIDS??

so after doing research i have found out that the lid on my car is actually a Whisper lid. The ones i found actually cost 150$. Thought that was a lil steep. Does anyone have any feedback on the Whisper lids and do they actually work well. mine has been on my car since i got it. so i wouldn't know a difference all i have done is put the K&N filter in it.

If anyone has a SLP lid i may be willing to work out a trade if interested? PM me i would rather it be local or close to the Alabama area.

Thanks

yea, a lids a lid. They all perform the same only difference is really how they look. If you already have one I wouldn't go through the trouble of switching brands

Mine's been on the car since...2004? Sometime around in there. Never had any problems at all with it.

I would like to trade for a SLP lid since everyone seems to think they all work the same. I am looking to go all SLP on my car

My current Z28 came with one. It's on there right now, but once I remember to actually sand/prime/paint my other SLP lid I had put on my previous Z28, that one will be going on(already would be on there if it wasn't painted by the previous owner and flakey with hugger orange.

Fits far better than the whisper I have does.

didn't the slp lid have some clearance issues with some hoods?

Cool man I'm in Athens al. I have a SLP lid and it fits very well it had a whisper lid on the car when I bought it. The lid would hit the bottom of my hood so I got rid of it.

I'm pretty sure my WS6 has a whisper lid that came with it. The clamps that secure it could definitely be better, but that seems to be my only complaint thus far. For whatever reason, I like the MTI clear lid much better though.

My whisper lid has Quartermileperformance painted on it. They are now LS1 Speed. so I've had mine along time. GMHTP did a lid test acouple years ago and whisper was rated 2nd best. SLP=Overrated and Overpriced

Yes. My SLP Lid Hits my stock SS hood, but clears on my Z28.

My slp lid used to rub against the hood but I fixed that...like someone said a lids a lid. Doesn't really matter.
