Default anybody on here know anything?

ive tried on several different sections and sites and blah blah blah. anyways im havin a coolin issue with my 5.3l. its only spewing out steam threw the steam vent went its warm causin in to build to much pressure and heat up. its not acting like a blown head gasket i.e. no smoke it doesnt overheat on the street, doesnt **** out of the overflow, and no milkshake. ive tried all the different methods of burping the car. like... lifting the front, filling from the upper rad hose, drive the car around, shake it, vacuum pumping the system. i heard that these motors get airlockedbut gees for 2 weeks? i just got it back from my mechanic and they couldnt find anything.

any of you guys have a clue?

i always run the motor with the cap OFF, and heater on full blast for at least 15min. sit there and constantly fill it up as it spills over. just keep it full. youll see little air bubbles coming out.

This is assuming you dont have a cracked head or something. Have you done a cooling system pressure test?

What is the pressure rating of the cap you are using? The newer engines require a higher pressure cap rating 18lbs +

I would use a "block chek" just to make sure you don't have a combustion leak going into the cooling system.

Sounds like a problem I had. I ended up buying a radiator. Afterwards I found the drain plug was bad because of me draining the radiator.

Which heads are on the motor? The 706 heads Were made in India by Castec and are notorious for cracking. I had to replace them on my suburban at 75000 miles. The replacements are 862's I have a set for sale with about 8000 miles on them if you have to replace them.

I have the factory 862's. Does anybody read anymore. I pretty much found out what it is. There's no coolant passage from the head through the block to the waterpump. Its either clogged or if the previous owner had the heads off he put the head gasket on backwards.

Thanx

This is where you add "found the problem" to the top of your post...

Well Excuse me for trying to read your mind. I don't see where you said they are 862's.
