Default Dish or Direct TV?

I've had enough BS from my cable company and need to make a switch to satellite tv. I've done some research and Dish and Direct TV are about equal in price and complaints. I'm looking for some real opinions from people who use them to help sway my decision.

IMO the Dish usually has less bitrate = less video quality. But that's universal info. Check out the quality on both.

I have Dish and next door neighbor has Direct TV. We both happen to have the same model Samsung TV's and the pic is better at my house. I pay about $17 less than he does and Dish sends free PPV movie coupons to my email every so often.

If you are a big sports fan I recommend researching available packages from each one.
