I thought F bodies were just 92-02. Correct me if I'm wrong, that's just always been my understanding

The "F" in F-Body has nothing to do with being made by Fisher. Fisher did tons (if not ALL) of different bodies for GM.

F-Body is just the internal platfom designation...like the W Body, or the G-Body, or Chrysler's A-Body and B-Body, or with Mustangs being called Fox- Bodies or SN95's.

Now I think GM has moved on to using names, such as Sigma and Zeta for thier platform designations. (or are these just the Greek names of letters?)

So '67-'02 was the F-Body, and I beleive the 5th gen is the Zeta, so technically not an F-Body, although I don't see any harm in calling it one...it's kind of spiritually an F-Body.

To the OP: Damn, that's one ugly turd gen! Hope you didn't pay more than a few hundred for that. And don't waste the money on paint, unless you rattle can it.

Hey I got it, you can be the first one here to Plasti-Dip a whole car!!

Meh... Not my favorite body style by any means for a 3rd gen F-body. Now if it was an IROC or RS with a nice pedestal spoiler then I'd be saying go for it.

Plasti-dip has been done for a whole car, I know there is an audi a4 somewhere that was plasti-dipped matte white. Looked great, and really high end car guys use it for logo's and stuff because it is easy to work with. Good luck with the car!

Before I'd only heard of 4th gen being called f body, and every other year being called by the generation... (assumed it was the f in 4th...

Good info, thanks. That's what I get for assuming
