pro porting, dont have flow sheets, done about 3 yrs ago, only reason these were changed was because of the 243's on the caddy motor!!! lots of interest on these parts, all PM's replied to! caddy motor had a lifter eaten. cam, lifters, PR's all junked, LS1 block was given to a friend for mock up dont ask for these!

What are the 853 castings equivalent to (valves, runners, chamber size)? How do they compare to the 243 heads?

well with the work done to them near the 243's but not quite, thats why the price is half of what the 243's would be. you put a 5 way valve job on them and it'll be as good or better.

I have an LS2 with 243's. I guess these are stock 5.3 heads re-worked? I am not too versed on head castings.

I have a stage II Formato port done to my LS2 intake so I don't want to waste the money on that to go LS3. Plus the "stock" appearance is nice!

Do you still have the valve covers. What about the coil brackets?

Thanks. Dave.
