Default Can I remove the AIT pump and not set off the SES?

Hey guys, when I put my headers on I was planning on removing the AIR system, will it set off any lights when I do that? Should I just leave the pump there and plugged in, with no hoses? I just want to clean things up a bit.

From what I have read, you will not set a code immediately, but will after some driving, like a few hundred miles.

You might as well pull the pump if you are disconnecting it, that way you won't have to listen to it on cold start ups, and you will be eliminating the weight as well.

Search the site, I have read a couple of detailed write ups on here on AIR pump removal.

I have not done it myself yet, my car is still a mod virgin.

I took my A.I.R. system and EGR system at the same time last year. No SES lights from the AIR, but the EGR set a permit SES light - well at least until I EDIT the EGR out.

From removal of the AIR only. You SHOULDn't set any codes.
