rebuild time....couple of ??'s
looks like its time for a rebuild. this will be my first official lt1 pull and build. I bought this car about a year ago with a supercharger already on it and def had my fun with it but i guess supercharging a stock bottom end has finally taken its toll lol. anyway im goin the N.A. rought and i already have an idea of what im gonna put in it. my biggest question is what is the best way to pull this motor? will it come out the top or do i have to drop it out the bottom... Ive done tons of motor swaps and builds but they were all in IROCs and trucks haha never a f body. By the way ill be selling the supercharger set up if anyone wants it. pm me. its a vortech v-1 non i/c comes with blower and all necessary brackets plus a stock pully and a ten pounder. make offer. plan on going the advanced induction route.

Actually if you have a cherry picker the easiest route is out the bottom. That's the way they were put in at the factory. We usually have a new set up in a car and back running in about two hours. There are many write UPS online about out the bottom. I wouldn't do it in these cars anyother way. Not worth the hassles.

ok i apologize....4h gens. 3rd gens are easy... but any way i dont have a cherry picker lol so i'm guessing out the top is the only way for me. why don't i wanna reuse the supercharger you ask? to be honest i dont know. ive always built n/a motors because they were more budget friendly and made the same if not more power than a blown application. i bought this car more because i was curious than anything else. its my first supercharged vehcle. and yes it was fun while it lasted....but now it has no compression lol welll enough torun but its no good for me.

yes i have an engine hoist sorry ive never heard the term cherry picker ********...second i did not build this car. i bought it with the blower on it already. But anyway now that that is out of the way im just not into the f/i thing. ya i know its a great power adder and i already have it but i can also sell it and use the money to get a great set of heads. after looking into it more i think instead of advanced induction im prob going to go the LE stage 2 route. Gonna have the block honed and run oversized rings. this is a street car that i take to the track 2 or 3 times a month just for fun. LE stage 2 will make way more power than the set up i already had which was bone stock with a blower. if i drop out the bottom where should i lift the car from with my "cherry picker"?

Wow relax dude... one hand you call someone a Dick head and then you ask advice. All I did was clarify it for you....
But since I'm a nice guy and can use Google to search for you, here you go.....

jpack i wish you knew me in person and you would be able to understand my sarcasm in name calling but you dont so i apologize....but anyway thanks a lot for the link. i was reading older threads earlier and i dont understand how out the top could possibly be easier than out the bottom. im gonna pull the motor from the bottom on sunday im sure its gonna take me a while because it'll be my first time doing it but this looks like the way to go.

I call bullshit. You can not possibly be good at building engines with the questions your asking bud.
" if i drop out the bottom where should i lift the car from with my "cherry picker"?" REALLY

sorry i dont refer to my engine hoist as a cherry picker jallen. im also sorry that this is the only fourth gen ive ever owned and i generally pull engines from the top jallen. you can call it whatever you like pal. when in reality i've built a half dozen different 350's for different cars/trucks. Im sorry im asking a question about a vehicle ive never done more than change the oil on and tune up. The 4th gen is much different than my 87 iroc and my 73 nova and my 84 trans am. and much much different than my 93 k2500 or my stepside 87 1500. mind your tongue son. smart people ask advice. retards run their mouths.
