Just cough up the dough for a flowmaster 10 series...its 20 bucks extra. I have mine and love it.

I have heard one. The sound did appear similar and no one may ever know the difference but I'd buy flowmaster simply because its authentic and it is likely a better made muffler. I have seen some of the cheaper mufflers rip at the seams from their own weight

I haven't heard the ones on ebay, but I have heard knock off one chambers and they sound just like the real ones. I had dumped duals on my automatic SS for years with real one chambers and they sounded great, but the drone at cruise rpm got old. As others have stated, the quality of the coating, welds or steel used on the real ones is better, which is where the price difference is coming from.

Flowmasters patent ran out so the knockoffs are pretty much identical spec wise but, build quality might be an issue.

i wouldnt. for that 30$ or even 50 your saving its not worth it, if they sounded like crap then you just flushed the saving down the toilet

I doubt the quality of coating or materials on the ebay one is much worse than Flowmaster uses, has no one else heard them referred to as a "rust"master? I know the Flowmaster on my car has a nice hole rusted through it. I say go for it.

Basically ive done a whole lot of business thro the same exhaust shop since ive messed with cars..

a total of around 7 vehicles and referred friends and family and now he fills my n20 bottles.. so yea hes gonna cut me a pretty good deal.

I was quoted $150 to run the True Duals dumped if i supply the mufflers.. So ill be into a true dual setup for just north of $200 if i go with knockoffs

I run the knockoffs they are called flosounds in my cammed 99 trans am and like them alot.
I have had them for probably for about 10k miles

we used to sell the knock offs all the time, they are just as nice an sound just as good as the flowmaster ones, from what i under stand flowmaster lost there patent or something an thats why everyone copied them an they came out with the 44 series,
