Default truck intake or ls intake for a 5.3 and 75mm turbo

I have a 68 camaro that I am putting a 5.3 and 75mm turbo in with maybe 10-12psi for now. I was wondering if an ls intake would be better for performance than the stock truck intake. I know it looks better but not to worried about that. In the future i plan to do a little head work and a cam maybe forged internals and then crank the boost up. If the truck intake is just as good for performance I may run it and spend the money on other things i need. Thanks

You can make power with both..... Me personally I would run whichever was cheapest or I could get a deal on......... Or if its for cosmetic issues.

how much power do you want to make now, and after you go forged. Also do you plan to run e85?

All the truck guys say the truck intake flows as good as an ls6 intake, just with slightly longer runners.

No need for the ls6 intake, just do an ls1 intake, we've made over 800rwhp through them just fine.

Looking to make 550-600 now and 700-800 after the forged internals. I want to run E85 but its not very common around here. I already have the trtuck intake it came with the motor so I may run it since its already paid for then I can upgrade later.

That a1000 will work fine at 500-600 with a 8an feed line to the rail. However 700-800 on E85 is probly not going to cut it. You need 30-40% more fuel with e85.

So what pump and injectors would you recomend? I would like to just buy the fuel system one time if I can. Thanks.

I've got a customer who has made 1100 rwhp with a stock truck intake and stock 78mm TB with a 370 and PT88 turbo at 22psi.

Well I found a LS1 intake for $75 so I went and picked it up last nite. The biggest reason I did is I done some measuring and I don't think the truck intake would clear my hood so a $75 intake is cheaper than a big hood. Thanks for all you help.
