What gauge (thickness) stainless tubing should I use?
Hey guys, im about to buy some 2.5" stainless tubing for my crossover, and Im wondering what wall thickness you guys are running. ive seen .049, .050, .065...
i can get the .050 super cheap but Im wondering if thats too thin?

If you think 2.5" is small for 408/91, than my 2.5" on a 460" looking to make 2800hp is microscopic. The crossover is used to get the exhaust to the turbo, maintain drive pressure and minimize heat loss. 2.25" is not too small. I used 2.5" on my old motor(438/106) and made double the power your trying to make, spooled fast and had no backpressure issues out the back door. With a slightly smaller tube, you can up the AR on the turbine and have better spool and less backpressure on the top.
