Default having spark problems with my 97 lt1

i have a brand new msd coil brand new opti ,plugs and wires dont let me forget about the ignition module.......wat else is there

What's wrong with the vehicle? Does it not have any spark or is it just missing really badly?

You have an ECT sensor that will make it run like it's missing if it's bad.

Make sure your coil has power, and then check for corrosion at both ends of the opti harness. If all is good there verify your pcm is getting the signal from the opti, Shbox FTW again!

What made you replace everything to begin with?
Are you sure you got everything plugged back in including both grounds near the coil?
Is there no spark at the coil or plugs?
Are all your fuses good?

And, if you don't want to change the rest of the car you need to troubleshoot and find the problem. It's not cost effective to throw parts at it.

ive tried to trouble shoot it ....still no spark...this lt1 ish is making me mad

Check the wires to the cps? bad CPS?.

I mean you have just gotten defensive when asked simply what process have you followed.

From what ive read you just replaced everything.... be more in depth as to what you have done, not just "everything"

You obviously havn't troubleshot everything as you havn't posted any codes if it's throwing any? Let's start from there and work thru all of shbox's suggestions on his site. If you want help (as I am sure you do since you posted a message here) you need to give us more information and stop being so cryptic!!!

its a 12.1 compression 396 ci lt1 i bought everything new i went and got a new harness today and computer still no spark and for some reason its not throwing any codes back

You need to start somewhere and work this out. I'd start at the ICM because it's easy to get to and will tell a lot. Check for power and ground first. If you have power at the ICM connector, check and make sure it's also at the coil.

Sent this before, look at the ICM wiring. The wire to the coil from ICM (Pin D) should pulse when you crank it, I want to know:

Is there power at Pin A of the ICM and Pin A of the coil?
Is the ground on PIn C?

Make both of those tests with a test light. NOT A METER! Test for power by grounding one lead of the test lamp and touching the other to the terminal you want to test. For ground put the lead on something hot, like the power block on the passenger side by the battery and touching the other to the ground Pin C on the ICM. If you have both power and ground, ground one lead of the tester and put the other on the "D" pin of the OCM, the lamp should flicker on and off if you crank it. You can get the top off the ICM connector easily, carefully pull the rubber seal and get to the terminals to make the test. Do not connect the test lamp to the "B" terminal of the ICM, we'll decide what to do there later.

If you don't have a test light, make one. Just use any 12 volt lamp like a side marker or license plate lamp and a socket. It's better if it draws some current. Commercial test lamps have small lamps that don't but they are better than nothing.

Post what you find here and I'll tell you where to go from there. Whatever you do don't just start throwing parts at it.

yea it fired right up ....im loving my car again..needs to be tuned bad
