2-1 misshift
Is it possible to miss 3rd and go into 1? I was just wondering. What would the consequences be if the that happened? Earlier I missed 3 and let the clutch out about one quarter way and the car began to shake and the rpm's went to about 3 and a half and I said f*uck and never let the clutch out all of the way. Basically the car shook and i got all upset then i figured i bent a lifter or something but the car drives fine, and idles the same. Did i get lucky? What happened? Did i save myself from a castastrophe by not letting the clutch out all of the way?

If the RPM's went to only 3500, you have nothing to worry about. 2-1 misshift is VERY common, especially with stock shifters. Things start to break after redline, common things are bent pushrods and valves. You should be fine, you just gave your tranny a wake up call.

I did it on a track run. Most common thing is bent pushrods. I bent 4 of them on that run but you will hear a very noticeable tick if you bent the pushrods. If you only went to 3500 and don't hear any ticking you should be fine.

Seriously, just practice. No one is perfect, we all miss a gear from time to time. Just take the time to learn your shifter better. All will be fine and you can speed shift the 2-3 all day long.
