Ok here's the scoop, I picked up a bone stock 00 M6 Formula about 2 months ago. It stayed stock for about 3 days until my first batch of go fast goodies came in, BBK LT's, SLP LID, TSP Rumbler (way to quiet), and Frost tuned it. Since then I have been lurking trying to figure out what my next mod should be. I am up between a LS6 intake/ Ported throttle body, or 3.90 rear gears. I don't plan on going to the track anytime soon seeing as i don't want to have to worry about walking home, basically all i do with the car is cruise, once in a while I hammer the gas and like to feel the pull. I am on the highway for most of my time and would like to retain some of the mpg this car produces. what should i do next!?!?

even if all my playing around is from a roll? Any one know of any problems if I were to take the catback off and run a single chamber flowmaster off the Y pipe? I have had cutouts on all my vehicles and 3/4 of them leaked + i like the sound of a muffler better then a cut out on a stock cam car.Would you feel a SOTP difference with the intake/tb?

I'm kindof in a similar boat with mods. Full bolt ons basically but have been debating on getting gears.
For the intake manifold and TB, it's not really going to be a seat of the pants feeling it's gonna be in the throttle response, the power is gonna be right on the pedal. Not as much seat of the pants like headers were in the higher rpms.

My buddies C5Z H/C ran hard as **** and had stock gearing. 410s or the like would have just made traction dumb for anything below 55mph with street tires on.
Chances are you would enjoy the gears more in this case.

Lower gears will get you what you want on the road. If you plan future mods, you should consider going to a 12 bolt or 9 inch versus just gears in your puny 10 bolt. Costs a lot more but you get what you pay for.

thanks guys, I think i may save and try to swing both at the same time! I would love to be able to break the tires loose w/o slipping the clutch, that would add a ton of fun factor to this car.
