Default Next mod, any ideas?

So far I have the SLP Lid and SLP LM1 cat-back. Not much of a power gain there, but the car does have improved throttle response.

Anyway, wondering what the next easy bolt-on mod to do would be.

A few ideas I had was:

1. Ported Throttle Body
2. Heads swap
3. Headers
4. Tune

If I do get headers, are there any I can get that won't make my car obnoxiously loud? I do have the SLP LM1 set up, so it's already very loud, and headers would make it too loud. Although, I still do have the CATs on my car, so it's not too terrible I suppose.

Some people suggest making it a "Borla Mouth" Keep the same set up, but get a Borla muffler, then go witih headers.

ported throttle body+ free ram air, loud headers will probably **** off your neighbors...but who gives a damn.
I wouldnt get a tune until you put everything you want in it for that time.
whats your budget? are you trying to build a full bolt on street car? or do you want to do heads+cam and other stuff?

What's the free ram air? As I said, already have the SLP Lid, anyway I can improve on that?

This car is still my DD, so I don't want it to be super loud myself either, a little louder wouldn't hurt.

At this point I'm not quite sure what I want to do. Maybe some day I will do full bolt on's, but for now I just want the next logical step in the modding game, assuming I am going in the full bolt on's direction.

Getting a new cam, from what I understand, is a huge investment. You need to replace so many things in the engine, that's completely out of my budget.

For my next modification I won't be spending much more than $500, I would like some HP gains, at least 5WHP, something I will be able to feel. I hear a good ported TB will get you 4-7WHP. But since I am willing to go up to $500, I'd like to keep headers in the scheme of things too. Though I think if I get headers I will need to get a muffler for the car, something to replace the resonator my car has now.

Ceramic coated Paceaetters are your best bet for budget headers, im pretty sure you will need the ypipe too, I think itll be $520 shipped but thats to my zip code, thats also including o2 simulators
Ported throttle body is only 60-70 after you send your core and get the refund.
So for $600ish I'm pretty sure you will see some gains

As for free ram air, theres an install university article on it, its basically cutting away a parts of your air box tray

A heads swap isnt an easy bolt on...lol but you gotta be more specific on what you want out of the car like power number goals, 1/4 mile goals ect.....but ported TB is an easy bolt on same with a MAF swap. But eventually before you get heads I would deff. get LTs and a a Y pipe.

Stainless steel headers, if you cannot afford those, then stop modding the car. Also a small converter bump will wake the car up.

Long tube headers, then cam. If your going to do heads you will want to match your cam to them. Doing a cam isn't a huge investment if you do it yourself and are thrifty. I've got under $800 in mine. Headers are the best bang for buck IMO.

Get a stall x1000. If its not your daily get a 4000 and the **** will rip. Then get headers. Don't waste your time and or money if you dont do it yourself on a stock ported throttle body. Do a cam before heads IMO.

If your not doing these mods yourself (LTs, ory, tune, etc), you will be looking at more then 5-600 dollars. And if your afraid of your car being too loud w/ LTs and your LM1, then go with a catted y, but will be more expensive.

Fast Toys Ram Air. It's better than the free ram air mod and it's only about $200. That and exhaust are my next mods.

The next thing I would do to the car would be LT's + catted Y and a tune, you already have the Lid and catback, just finish the bolt-on's and go from there. Yes, LT's are going to make your car a good bit louder, but it's a muscle car. Shouldn't be modding it in the first place if you can't deal with some noise.
