trans am: four low beam lights
Has anyone replaced their high beam lights with low beam lights? The result would be driving at night with four low beam lights on to help with illuminating the road. This would not blind drivers with your high beams. Of course you would have to adjust the former high beams. Or how about just aiming the high beams lower.

kinda defeats the purpose of having high beams.
buy some and try it...4703's will fit in 4701 sockets so why not...but I don't think you'll like it.
if you do this realize you'll loose your fogs unless you wire those in to stay on with the highs on
and you'll have the blue high beam dash light on ALL THE TIME!...another annoyance

A friend of mine had a car that had 4 sealed beams, 2 low, 2 high just like the birds do. He replaced them with a kit that gave him low and high beams in both locations, so he had 4 lows and also 4 highs. He had the outer pair aimed lower/outward a bit, then the inner pair slightly upward, basically to fill in the illuminated area better. Seemed to work OK.
I don't know what type of conversions he used, or what size they were. It was on an old Monza.

Unless done right, with proper projectors, no. But I'm not going to argue over it again either. Suffice it to say HID + halogen reflector = glare and less usable light.
