Default Rebuilt alternator

The alternator that came on my motor isn't charging under load. I ordered a rebuilt alternator from Advance because apparently theses 2004 GTO alternators are made of unobtainium and no one has them. I had the rebuilt one tested when I picked it up and it was already broken. Big sticker on it "Made In China".
I am planning on having a local fix it. Does that sound like a better option?

Couldn't you return it and get your original fixed?

I ordered a reman unit-no core from these people. Work is done on-site, fully tested, and the prices were competitive with anyone. Every one I spoke with was easy to deal with, and the alt arrived quickly.
They will repair yours with quick turnaround.
