Default Check engine light after LT's

I have a 2000 Camaro SS auto and the check engine light is on. The light has actually been on since I bought it, but I never drive the car and figured it was because I have SLP long tube headers installed. (The guy before me had it done and I know the car hasn't been tuned. I can tell it runs a little lean)

Today I decided to get the codes run and see what was up. The car is running three codes. 02 sensor circuit, low voltz bank 2 sensor and system too lean bank 2 control fuel.

Is this typical for an ls1 to have after LT's installed with a catback? Should I get the car tuned? It runs fine and it sits in the garage. I just didn't know if this was harmful for the times I occasionally drive it...

Thanks in advance.

yea this is typical since the readings are off since you have long tube headers. It won't hurt your car but if that light really bothers you just have someone tune out the codes but if it doesn't bother you, you should be ok.

Alright, that's what I thought. It's my second car and I drive it about once every two weeks, lol. The tune is $400...Personally, I think that's ridiculous for a car with just full exhaust. If they had a street basic tune for about $150 or so I would do it...$400 is ridiculous. I live in tampa florida. Does anyone know a reasonable tuner? Should I post this somewhere else?

but as far as tuning goes you have to know your stuff. its better to pay once than lose a motor. trust me i know.

Hmm, maybe I'll get one...How is it that putting long tubes on your car can potentially hurt your motor? Or is this for more modded vehicles?

I would just buy HP tuners and tune it out yourself. That is what I am going to do with mine.

We can do a mail order tune for it. We have options for JUST a code delete to save money, or we can do a complete tune for you for a little more money.
