Headlight problem

I just finished that job.
Here's what I did.
1. I purchased the hardened aluminum alloy gears.
2. I packed the gear case with water proof grease.
3. I epoxied the gear lids down and left them off for 24 hours.
4. I used the supplied torque brace that goes over the lid and mounts to two of the three mounting screws.
5. I cut up my hands and arms something fierce doing it but they are mil spec. tough now and I never want to touch another one... LOL

Three things we've seen have caused these headlights to malfunction, make noise, or go out. The motor, actuator, or a short in the wiring. It is hard to predict the root of the issue without a pinpoint test.

That would be the only thing that would fail if the motor is attached securely.
Make sure those little tabs that hold the motor to the gearbox are smashed down real tight so the motor doesn't move at all on the gear head.
It should feel like one piece.

Just need to let the epoxy cure completely before re-installation.

now the passenger side light isnt working and the driver side doesnt want to come up. im getting pissed. i am going out of town tomorrow so itll have to be monday before i can take it back apart. guess i need to invest in a more solid gear than the plastic ones.
