Yeah, it's very possible. Most of the one's I've seen are centrifugal superchargers. A leading one is Procharger. I think they're a sponsor on here. They'll probably show up in this thread eventually.

I would just buy a kit. New will run quite a bit of money but it is worth it! If not you could buy a used kit.

you dont just want to throw a supercharger on the stock engine/trans, your going to want to build up the engine to hold the boost so it doesnt get fucked. the trans will probably let go too so youll need to upgrade that too. Forced Induction is alot more that you think. its not like a bolt on and the cost adds up quick, you will spend more of it that your entire car was worth

^ Thats a good thread to good information on what to expect as far as the real cost of F/I

At the end of the day you can throw on a kit and have it work but to have maximum power and reliability your going to want to do everything right and make sure you have the correct supporting mods to support the supercharger

If your on a budget I would suggest doing a H/C setup depending on what kinda power your trying to make but even with that your going to want to do some supporting mods.

If ur not tracking it and doing a street car only. Boot on a supercharger and go. The rear is gonna break no matter what you do. Put a decent clutch in it, run a d1sc procharger kit, 8psi, and call it a day. there are plenty of ppl
On the board running 8psi on stock bottoms an have been for a long tine and thrash on em and are doing fine. It's all in ur tune. Do a little searching to see what's involved. U can pick up a used complete kit for 3-4k. Or u can piece one together starting with a used headunit. I traded a motorcycle for my kit. And the kit is damn near new. I wouldn't worry about the tranny too much unless ur going to the track every weekend. but def look into a rear. That's my next step. Even for a steer car. These cars should of came with at least a 12 bolt....

Your best bet is buying a used kit. A P1SC or a D1SC will be your best bet. 8psi will be safe but you can run up to 10ish and still be ok on a good tune. The stock A4 won't like that power level very much....auto's are a little easier on the rearends but neither will last long if you run it hard. What are your goals? Track or mostly street use?
