Default Is it possible to just repair my headers?

I had my ORY replaced today because my old one literally fell apart. Well after the install, we started up the car to check for exhaust leaks. Under the hood, we saw some small flames shooting out of what LOOKED like one of the spark plug holes on the passenger side. We checked it out and it was as tight as can be. We looked some more and sure enough, the flames were coming from the bottom of one of the tubes on my header.

I'm guessing it's cracked. Is there anyone or any WAY it can just be welded up or repaired instead of having to buy all new headers?

Sure, though it will require to be removed from the car. I would weld each tube up in the same manner as the leaking one.

If it is rusted that bad I would just buy new headers and be done with it. Its going to be hard to celan and weld the thin metal without it falling apart

****, that's true. Damn it, I didn't want to spend this much money. Local shop quoted me almost $600 to replace the headers JUST in labor.

If they are rusted then I agree with Chad, better off replacing them because you can't weld thin, rusted material. If its just a crack, which is highly unlikely, then it can be welded, if thats all it is.

I already called him. He won't separate. So unless someone here wants a y-pipe, I'm SOL with that deal. I have Hookers.

You can do headers with simple tools in about 4 hours on the ground.

Or pay a the member 200$ or something to do it.600$ is stupid.

Definitely not. I can't even see it. I just have a general idea of where it is.

Hookers, and I doubt it. I replaced them with stainless steel Kooks.
