The L76 has the LS3 heads and intake. It is a 6.0 instead of a 6.2, and it has the DOD cam. A cam swap could EASILY make more power than an LS3 swap, and be a hell of a lot cheaper.
If you insist on the LS3, your stock ECM would work, it would just need to be retuned. Re-use all of your accessories and bolt it in.

Run a cross check on front accessories and see if they are interchange able.
I don't think the oil pan is the same though (I think GM redesigned the Gen 5's front end -vs- the original G8/Holden platform).
Retune (AFM/DOD delete) and a crank relearn on the ecm (both use the 58x crank timing gear).
Swap to premium fuel (11:1 LS3 vs 10:1 L76)
You will gain 12 cubes (364 to 376) and higher compression.
Neither motor had VVT, so cam phaser tuning is not needed...
Good luck.

The reason I am this swap is because I already have a,LS376/480 motor from another project, so its not a question of money. I talked to vector yesterday, those guys were awesome!!! They said its a straight swap, but I'll have to use my oil pan and pickup. Not wanting an all out beast, just a fun 400hp daily driver....

Yeah, electrically it's compatible if you tune the car...you'll need to swap out some minor parts...but it's going to really wake your G8 up (based on what I've seen on the dyno between my own car and some G8 GT's) and you can probably sell your L76 from your G8 for a good chunk of change.
