C5Z06 is an excellent platform. GT needs to keep its **** together. No excuses.

Read the video description on youtube, its a 2005 4.6 car with a 5.0 stroker on boost.

For the zo6 being way under powered by 167 hp it did damn good!

If the Z06 had a passenger and the Mustang did not then big disadvantage for the Z06. Did both have passengers?

Mexico sure has some great concrete freeways but be careful down there passing slower cars at those speeds.

Both had passengers... I was filming in the Z06 (I weigh about 220lbs) driver of the Z weighs about 180. Driver of GT weighs about 240lbs, his passenger weighed probably 140.

So:
C5Z + 400lbs
GT (3450lbs + 380lbs)

The GT you state weighs 3450 + 380 = 3830#, Z06 about 3120+/- + 400 = 3520#. 20 pounds difference in passenger weight will give more improvement with the Z06 over the GT. So what I am saying is the 20 pounds extra hurt the Z06 more so than had it been the GT. Z06 is lighter to begin with so 20 pounds would be a greater % savings with the lighter car. In the end however I don't think the race results would have been much different had the Z06 been 20 pounds lighter.

what we would do is have a starter car ahead of us. When both cars racing were ready they would flash their highbeams. the starter car would then turn off their lights. when the lights came back on, GO!

100% no excuses way to start a race.
