If the Z06 had a passenger and the Mustang did not then big disadvantage for the Z06. Did both have passengers?
Mexico sure has some great concrete freeways but be careful down there passing slower cars at those speeds.

The GT you state weighs 3450 + 380 = 3830#, Z06 about 3120+/- + 400 = 3520#. 20 pounds difference in passenger weight will give more improvement with the Z06 over the GT. So what I am saying is the 20 pounds extra hurt the Z06 more so than had it been the GT. Z06 is lighter to begin with so 20 pounds would be a greater % savings with the lighter car. In the end however I don't think the race results would have been much different had the Z06 been 20 pounds lighter.

Nah... that way there is no "I didn't hear the honks" or "You went on 2nd honk", or one driver will honk unexpectedly like "honk..........................HONK HONK", or the honker will take the hit, blah, blah, blah... Both drivers can get a equal hit with someone else yelling it out. I have been meaning to get a air horn before the meets, but my voice is free. Ready? 1 2 3!!!
