want to buy a glasstek 4", do i have to trim it?

Default want to buy a glasstek 4", do i have to trim it?

i read somewhere on here that they come with EXTRA fibergalss, that you have to get it trimmed by the body shop, is this true? i kind of wanted a good fitting hood, thats why i wanted to stay away from ebay

Mine did. Wasn't too bad though. Around the headlights and the fenders but any good body shop should be able to work it out.

and do they charge you more to do that? so i have to bring my car to the body shop to get it done.

mine fit perfect, i picked it up from glasstek and bolted it on. only thing i had to do was drill out the hinges so the hood fit flush in the back

My lt1 camaro hood needed body work to fit. Still needs some planing to get it perfect.

maybe its how they mold it? i have no idea. but i have 2 cowl hoods from them and both fit pretty good.

Well if it needs trimmed, will the body shop charfe extra before they paint it?

i bought mine off ebay, 93-97 pin-on. fit perfect. sturdy as hell.
