first thing first: track elevation, temp, and humidity? IE, what was the DA when you guys ran?
No matter how you look at it he got stomped, but damn even taking out the bad launch that thing should have done a bit better IMO. Not alot, but maybe a couple tenths better.

Not calling you a liar stopsign32v but I haven't seen any basically stock mustang run in the 8's in my area that is with the exception of cobras gt500 and roush. There was a mach 1 I seen at the 1/8th mile bout a month ago with headers w/ cutouts and cai, Ran I think at best was 8.9 and a 04 gt w/cutouts headers underdrive pulley cai 3.73s ran a 9.4 so im a little lost but mustangs aren't up to par. How fast do you guys think a these 07's are they have 300bhp and are pigs ,1000 pounds heavier. Stock to stock the ls1 would still win that race, I have beatin a couple stock 05-2010's in my lt1. I would say that mustang is at best a 9.0 with a average sixty foot if 2.0

This was my first time ever running a Mach 1 at the track. Mods were O/R H pipe, catback, and shifter. (as stock as I could get, it was bought that way). Had I gotta a couple more runs, maybe 12's.

Stock the mach 1 does have more hp and is lighter with a bigger gear ratio but from my experience any gt mustang with the exception of fox bodies are pigs they never have had more them 300 bhp and they are heavy. As for the mach 1 I seen compared to yours I think the one a seen needs a major driver mod.

I feel a stock 07 GT should run around a 8.5-8.7 I think it would be hard to get a 8.4. But this is only me going by my gut feeling and what I've seen and read. I have no first hand experience.

different days, different tracks, different drivers: let's just say, that for a any pre 2011 Mustang GT to beat a LS1 Fbody whether stock to stock, or bolton to bolton, the Fbody driver would have to screw up pretty bad. period. Which happens, unfortunately, all the time. And for the normal bolton GT to beat a stock LS1, they better be well thought out boltons.
