yeah i dont know why so many people seem to think the new 5.0 is a drivers race with a stock ls1, a few really bad 5.0 drivers have filled some stock ls1 owners hearts full of hope.those cars run really well,killemall a stock 5.0 is puppy kicking level for you lol

That was an *** rape. And so many really think a stock Fbody is a drivers race. But they don't want to listen. ..This one had some good mods and got toasted by a stock one. And starting in the "RIGHT" gear woudl not have helped being the mustang continued to pull.

stock 5.0 w/ 3.73's from the factory> LT/lid/LS6 intake tune/true duals LS1 Fbody.

He raced an automatic from a roll, I own both and the m6 is the "faster" car. I guess all the coyotes I ran into are duds,even the modded ones. Who wants to buy a car that the dud ratio is 75 to 1!?

True selecting the right gear would've probably made a difference but the 5.0 was going to pull either way. Ive raced a bone stock 5.0 and im full bolt ons and those 5.0's are no joke at all. No way if i was stock i could keep up with one at all, even with excellent driving with a M6. Fords done a great job and really stepped up, so gotta give them credit for building a great stang for 2011.

Depends on if it's a a4 or m6.

A m6 with the mods you listed and a stock 5.0 would be a damn good race. They will both trap within ~1mph with each other from first hand experience. If the car isn't tuned then the 5.0 will have a decent edge.

I'm running that exact setup on my black car minus the duals (off road y/borla). My car isn't tuned and i trapped 112.7,113.4,113.2. I drove the car there (45min) teched in and ran it back to back.

I ran my car hot bone stock minus tires. Never trapped below 113. Best trap was 115. All runs was 12.1-12.4. SO yoru bolt on M6 car still was behind my stock 3.73 5.0.

A stock Fbody is no match for a stock 5.0. Its simple facts. If you have a driver that is just retarded sure anything can happen. I will agree that a M6 would have been a better race but it would most still have lost drivers equal.


On my way back from FL since you are down south feel free to meet me. I will show you how slow your car is. I mean you should have no issue with a 5.0 they are all duds right.
