Found a LED flasher that works and is cheap
I figured I would post this up for people that are looking to replace their bulbs with LED bulbs. There is a good deal of LED info on this site but the search function sucks *** and the info is spread over different threads and it makes it hard to find anything. BRD PRY found a LED flasher awhile back that works when all your bulbs are replaced, front and rear. The one he found was from Keep it Klean and goes for $40 through Amazon. It is adjustable and works well with sequential tails. The EL12 flasher from Autozone will work if you have LED's in the front but regular in the rear and vice versa. It works because there is still enough load to pull in the electo-magnet in it. All LED's wont do it. I found one that works great, it is the EF12RL fully electronic flasher. It has a nice flash time, not to loud but not quiet, and best of all I got mine for $12 shipped on ebay. It is made by CEC and I think Grainger carries them too. Hope this helps someone as I played hell searching and figured I would take a dive and check this one out for $12. I couldn't bring myself to spend $40 on the KIK one for something as simple as a flasher.

Hmm maybe I need to give the EF12RL a try. When my lights are off my turn signals works fine but when there on the switch backs dont always seem to flash the amber. Idk im running the EL12. They just seem to work better when the light are off.

I just did the LED conversion on my car and I also used the EF12RL flasher from fleabay. It works great and it's cheap! I also noticed that the hazard flasher works with all LED's already. it flashes kinda slow but it works and honestly, how often do you really use hazard lights anyway?

This is because there is more load when the lights are off, enough to operate the flasher. When your headlights are off you are lighting the bright side of the of the 3157. When your headlights are on your and cutting the power. At least on my car. It was the same way, no lights, worked, lights on, didn't work.

The EL12 flasher worked perfect for my front marker light/turn signal. Would the EL12 be ok to use if I did the rear turn signals, back up lights, and rear stop lights or would I have to get something else? If so what would I need?

I can't find them either. A Google search only shows this thread on LS1TECH. It's like they never existed on the interwebz.

I know this is an old thread, but guys like me are still looking for information on how to convert our cars to LEDs.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think the OP made a typo when telling us about the great and wonderful EF12RL, because no one can find it.
Try searching eBay for the EF-32RL instead, and I think you'll find either what the OP meant, or else the latest part number for the product that will work.
Here is the description from eBay:
EF32RL Electronic Flasher
Variable Load 2 pin round turn-signal / hazard light flasher. LED compatible, for vehicles with negative ground (just about every modern vehicle).
The black wire must be connected to the vehicle's ground (chassis). If you want a flasher without this wire, look at our EF32SS or EF32SS-R (but those don't make a clicking noise!)
(The listing goes on to talk about polarity, but you can go read that yourselves.)
This flasher replaces:
Bussmann 224, BP224, 232, BP232, 250, BP250, 323

Some people objected to the SuperBrightLEDs.com flashers as not having a "click" sound when operating the signals/hazards, so that's why I posted up about the CEC EF32RL. $8.99 on eBay.

I am using the one from superbrightleds.com and it is dead silent, doesnt make any sound at all when the signals are on.
