Got to run the BL 996TT at RPR on Friday! Results Inside!
I know it's not an LSx based car but been around long enough and very proud on how the car ran... Here is a copy/paste of the post on there.
So last night we decided to take the car out to Royal Purple Raceway (Formerly Houston Raceway Park). There was nothing to do so Matt and my buddy Mike (owns G-Force, an LS1 shop that lets me use their dyno, tools, etc) went out to try and get one get pass before I got banned. We left at 5pm, bad idea in Houston so the 35 mile drive took an hour to get there. I drove the car out there on the CCW Drag pack.
Let the car cool down for about 45 minutes before making a pass and needless to say not being on the track in awhile left me a little jittery. But screwed up a launch and aborted the run early. Hot lapped and went for round 2 and made an 1/8th mile hit before getting out of it. Went a blazing 12.3 @ 73mph hard on the brakes. Finally clicked off my first 10.3 @ 150mph. Well I am expecting to get yelled at for only having a fire jacket and helmet. Handed my slip and went along to the scale. With me @ 185lbs the car weighed 3485lbs.
So then became a lot of fumbled launches, hot lapping around then managed to knock out a 10.40 @ 155.4mph. Managed a total of 6 passes above 150mph and had people in the crowd just going WOW! It was the only car that drove out there posting up anything close to that mph.
The car was on stock axles with a G-BOX Trans and Carbonetic Diff. Front runners were on the car and my MT Drag Radial II's on the back (27.5" tire).
Well here all all the slips minus 2 that one didn't have the times because I just restaged to practice launch and missed third and another was a pass I left and then just coasted down track.
Then a pic Matt took on the way home after the car ticked 40k miles!
Three videos (the 155mph pass and 2x 10.0 passes, score board cannot be seen because Matt's recording with iPhone). The guy that mentions it not being a Honda like freaked out on how fast the car was after, Matt turned the camera off before he could get all his reaction.

Then one pass that's a full recording from the GoPro since my video editing software is jacked up. It's the pass from the #2 10.0 video. The Mustang was a 5.0 with a blower on slicks that ran pretty good (125mph or so) but you can see the almost 30mph difference LOL!

I have to thank the guys at Boost Logic and Tuning Concepts. As well as the guys at EPL. The biggest thank you goes to Matt (Swole Powell) and Zac (_Zac) because they do most of the dirty work on this car!
It was well worth 70+ miles of driving and a few hours of fun. Cannot wait to get some real gas in the car!

Awesome, I have been thinking of going with a 996TT for my next car. After doing some reading and realizing how insanely high the Porsche tax was on parts it maybe a no go. Then again I could easily build most of the piping parts to sell and pay for the rest.
Do they have plug and play 2 steps for them?

Line lock, 2 step and a lil tuning on the boost controller this car is going to be insane.
Hats off to powell 150+ mph flying! A little more seat time and easy low 9's are in your future!!
These runs were on E85.
Wait til race fuel and more boost....Powell I herd a rumor of 1300 rwhp?

As Mikey said the car had E85 in it, and basically until the race gas tune that is all the car runs. I've turned the boost controller off once to test to see wtf was wrong with my o2s. So this is the configuration/boost (30psi) the car is on about 50% of the time. I do also have my 19's still and run the boost at the same, but it's just wheel spin in every gear LOL! With the built motor and big turbos it def. changed the way this car runs!
Took out the AWD system close to the time I destroyed 3rd. The car was very violent when it was AWD, almost ran into Mark's Diesel one night trying to show him how the car ran. It had the downfalls of both RWD and FWD cars, so no control at all of the car when all 4 tires spun.
I'm loving this thing! LOL!
*EDIT* - Randy, Matt should hopefully get a 10 second pass sooner or later, with the stock turbos with tune/exhaust it went 11.1 @ 129. Eventually he is going to do basically a duplicate of my old stock motor setup (my old turbos/injectors) but keep power at about 800rwhp; as well as keeping a stock PCM.
