Popping threw exhaust and slight tap?

Default Popping threw exhaust and slight tap?

I was at the drag strip and it started "missing" on the return road I hit it and itstarted popping and I could hear a tap. The car idles fine. Soon as you give it alil gas it starts popping but the tap is not always there. Please help would like to fix before hibrnation.

I would pull the valve covers and check for damaged/broken/bent valve train components.

I had running today there is no taping just popping threw the exhaust. Took it for a ride if I go wot no problem just a lower rpms.

had this problem on my t/a...pulled the valve covers and found pieces of a broken dual valvespring inside..

If it's popping out of the exhaust I would say its either a burnt/bent exhaust valve or bad/broken spring on the exhaust valve.

Ok I just thought it was weird that it doesn't do it at all at wot. I will be tearing into it this week.

Is it throwing any codes? Can you have it scanned for miss history?

That will help narrow down. I would also do a compression test before you take it apart. If you don't won't have a starting point when you take the valve covers off. Let us know what you find.
