Hendrix's is the one who asked to have the 2 piece made and is a nice part also, in a perfect world every shaft would be balanced perfect. with the 9500rpm balancer its about as close to perfect as it gets but being the mounting surfaces are all different all shafts will vary. the 2 piece shaft will have a higher critical speed and being its mounted in 3 spots with a soft hanger it will have less detectable vibration. now keep in mind a single shaft will also be below the threshold of felling it in the cabin (balance is done to a point to where its not felt or will not do damage to the connecting parts) the better the balance the less the mounting will effect the outcome. the only other thing is the 2 piece is a bit heavier.

here is a link to the info about the machine he has them balanced on

I have a one piece carbon fiber Gforce1320 driveshaft and love it. He also has an aluminum one piece available. My GTO has gone low 11's @ 125 mph no problem. It also lowered my 60' time by about a tenth.

A carbon shaft would be very nice, ours is a special high modulus winds and was made in a smaller 3-1/4 diameter (not the 3-3/4 like the others sold for the car) it has no clearance issues (we had sold the larger tube but it will have clearance issues) its a great piece and comes with a Strange Billet yoke

take a look
